Overview

Young Creatives is a friendly place to explore all things ‘behind the scenes’ at a theatre! This is an opportunity to try new things, make new friends, and see shows together.

Join us to take part in fun, interactive workshops exploring ‘behind the scenes’ elements of theatre. Workshops are entry-level and will be a mix of creative and social sessions with fun crafts, games and activities. There will also be workshops in some of the following areas:

• Set design
• Technical theatre
• Props and costume
• Theatre directing

The Northern Stage team and guest artists will give you a basic introduction to each of these areas, with an opportunity to try an activity in each discipline.

This is an entry-level group for anyone curious about learning what goes on in a theatre while meeting new people, trying new things, and getting creative – no experience needed!

Fee information

This group is FREE for people taking part. As part of the group, you’ll also receive a free ticket to see a show with us at Northern Stage.

We may be able to offer financial support for public transport if transport costs are a barrier to taking part, please let us know on your application form if this is the case.
