Overview
The Lost Voice Guy Comedy Showcase will be bringing its summer special to Northern Stage on Saturday 1st July 2023.
As always, Britain’s Got Talent winner, Lost Voice Guy, will be your host as he brings some of his favourite comedians to the region.
Headlining this show will be the magnificent Brennan Reece. You’ll have seen him on Live At The Apollo (BBC), Celeb Coach Trip (E4) and Roast Battle (Comedy Central).
Brennan is a multi-award winning working-class wordsmith. A stand-up, a storyteller and a self-confessed mummy’s boy. His boyish cheeks recently cropped up on Survival of the Fittest (ITV), The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV), Live at the Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and racking up over 6 million Youtube hits for his stint on Top Gear (BBC). A true Northern voice, with family close to his heart. Your Mum is going to love him!
Joining Brennan for the evening is the very unique Zoe. Zoe is a dog-obsessed eccentric outsider with limited social skills but with an interesting and fresh perspective on life. Simultaneously naive and intense, Zoe pushes acceptable boundaries whilst ensuring everyone laughs to the point of being unattractive.
Completing the lineup is Simon Lomas, who is regarded as one of the most exciting and refreshing new acts on the circuit. Already making big waves, this ungainly and socially awkward geek will doubtless go on to big things as his distinctive style is matched by superb jokes with a highly unique delivery. He’s already an award-winning act and is being widely talked about across the comedy industry-catch him now while you can!
In 2016, he won both the Southport New Comedian of the Year and the Great Yorkshire Fringe New Comedian of the Year, followed in 2017 by winning Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year and the Nottingham Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and then the Petfringe Comedian of the Year in 2018.
