Overview

Associate Schools Programme: a collaboration between the RSC and Associate Regional Theatres

Join us to celebrate brilliant young performers from eight schools in the region take to the stage to perform Shakespeare’s tale of love, friendship and misunderstanding as part of the RSC Associate Schools Programme.

The Playmaking Festival is a celebration of Shakespeare by brilliant young performers from seven schools in the region. Throughout the year students from Atkinson Road Primary School, St Catherine’s Primary School, St Oswald’s Primary School, St Michael’s Primary School, Star of the Sea Primary School, Kenton High School, Corbridge Middle School and Sacred Heart High School have been working on bringing their section of one of Shakespeare’s most well-known plays life and they will all come together to perform for one evening in a celebration of their hard work.

This performance is part of a long-term partnership between the Royal Shakespeare Company, Northern Stage and Sacred Heart RC High School.

This event is PWYC (Pay What You Can). If you do feel able to make a contribution then any donations will go towards supporting Northern Stage to deliver future projects with children and young people, just like this one.
