Northern Stage offers a range of stylish and contemporary celebration spaces, in-house technical expertise and catering to help you celebrate any special occasion.
Our location in the north of Newcastle’s city centre, on the edge of Newcastle University’s historic campus, means Northern Stage is ideally situated in an area of the city that is both beautiful and accessible. For couples getting married in the city centre we are located nearby the Newcastle Civic Centre registry office as well as other ceremonial and religious venues.

Bride and Groom
Weddings and parties at Northern Stage can be flexible to your needs but to give you a flavour of what we can offer, your celebration can include:
- Exclusive use of our Foyer Bar, the Mezzanine and Stage 3, or a combination of these spaces depending on your requirements.
- Private bar and dedicated bar & waiting staff
- Catering from either our range of menus or according to your bespoke requirements. We can do sit down meals with waiter service or hot and cold buffets day time or evening.
- Room hire, food and drinks for receptions ranging from an intimate meal for a few handfuls of nearest and dearest, to bigger receptions for 200+ guests.
- Spaces for discos, DJs or live bands.
Due to theatre productions that take place across our stage spaces there is limited private hire availability at certain times of the year. The best availability for Wedding Receptions and private hires is over the summer period. Please do ask us about summer and other availability.
