We’re getting ready to dive into our favourite books with Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book.
Bring your favourite book to life with our simple pop up book craft activity.
All you’ll need is some paper, a pair of scissors, some colouring pens and a glue stick.
1. Firstly, take an A4 piece of paper and fold it in half.
2. Take your scissors and cut two horizontal slits in the centre of the page along the folded edge. These slits will create a tab for the pop up effect.
3. Next, either draw your own picture or find one online to print out. Once you have your picture, use your scissors to cut around it. This will be the picture that pops out in your book.
4. Using your glue stick, attach your picture to the tab in the middle of the page.
5. It’s now time to get creative and decorate your pages using your colouring pens and write down what happens in your story.
6. Don’t forget to decorate the front page too and give your book a title.
If you’d like to add more pages to your pop up book, just repeat the same process again.
