Could you help us Curate Northern Stage?
Are you based in Newcastle and passionate about culture in the North-East? We’d love to hear from you.
As part of our promise to keep our work relevant and connected to the people who live and work all around us, Northern Stage is recruiting for a group of community associates to help Curate Northern Stage.
Curate will be a passionate group of people with diverse experiences and opinions from across Newcastle and the North-East. We want to be informed and transformed by the beautiful city and region we call home, and we want to hear from you about the culture you love, and what you’d like to see on our stages
Everyone is welcome. You don’t need to be a theatre expert or even have visited Northern Stage before. You just need to know what you like.
As part of Curate Northern Stage you will:
- Receive free tickets to a selection of shows at Northern Stage
- Meet with each other and Northern Stage staff to discuss what you’ve seen.
- Learn more about how we choose shows for our stages
- Influence our decisions about the shows we present in the future
Sounds interesting, tell me more…
The Curate Northern Stage group will meet twice a month at Northern Stage.
The meetings will be in the evenings, mid-week. Specific dates and times are TBC.
We will invite you once a month to watch a show and then talk about it afterwards. The second visit each month will be a discussion about future shows that Northern Stage is considering and a chance to shape our choices
Northern Stage can provide travel expenses to and from the theatre, and provide snacks and refreshments while you’re with us.
Register your interest here by Weds 10 January.
