Access Volunteer - Critical Friend
Bring your passion for Theatre and join the team at Northern Stage as a volunteer.
What’s Involved?
- Do you have experience of an access need?
- We are looking for individuals or individuals and carers with access needs to come along to a variety of Northern Stage shows and let us know how your experience went.
- We will ask you to fill out a short online survey after your visit and be open and honest about your experience so we can use this to help us improve. We know that one individual can’t speak for everyone, but we can learn from individual feedback that might help others too.
What will you get out of it?
- Complementary tickets to shows for you and a carer/friend.
What skills do I need?
- An interest in and enthusiasm for Theatre
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to Health & Safety procedures
- To let us know the best way to communicate with you and collect your feedback
- To be able to get to and from the theatre independently (or supported by your own access worker/carer) – we can cover travel expenses up to £5 to be claimed using a receipt as evidence.
How much time should I give?
- You can come to a range of shows on days and times that suit you, we would suggest at least one show a season for each of our Stages 1, 2 and 3. We have access performances for a wide range of our shows.
