Mind the Gap
Hot on the back of the critically acclaimed 2015 and 2016 tours, groundbreaking learning-disability theatre company Mind the Gap present Contained, a vibrant, compelling and personal production.
Nine interwoven true stories about family and friendships, love and loss, the everyday and the extraordinary.
Combining live performance, film, photography, music and dance, Contained explores those small moments in life that suddenly become meaningful: moments that teach us about ourselves, and the world that we live in.

Alongside the performances of Contained is a series of workshops and activities aimed at sharing and advancing learning disability arts. All the workshops are free for anyone who buys a ticket to a performance of Contained (Ticket = entry so please retain).

Join the Director of Contained, Alan Lyddiard and Mind the Gap’s Resident Director Joyce Nga Yu Lee for a 1.5 hour workshop exploring some of the techniques used to create the show. Aimed at experienced and aspiring performers, the workshop covers Alan’s trademark, meditative practice known as 'slow walk’. Click here to book your place.
Tea & Trailers

A fun & friendly afternoon where you can share your ideas and projects that show the brilliant diversity of disability arts, and work by disabled people. Think of it as an open mic/industry cabaret/performance platform/networking/interactive workshop/formal presentation/informal sharing/pecha kucha - all alongside afternoon tea! So come along, meet like-minded folks and share what you’re doing in whatever format you wish, and have a cuppa on us. (More details and booking to follow).
