Responsible Business

Let Northern Stage help to deliver your company's CSR objectives through our ambitious year-long participation programme. Every year we give over 5000 people of all ages a memorable introduction to the magic of theatre and provide opportunities for individuals to discover their own creativity, develop skills and increase confidence. We can tailor projects to fit your requirements or why not get involved with something from our existing programme?

The Christmas Access Scheme is just one example of how you can support your local community.

Christmas Access Scheme 2016

For over a decade, local businesses, individuals and charitable trusts have brough a touch of festive magic to the lives of thousands of children from some of the most disadvantaged areas of our region. This year, thanks to the generosity of local supporters, hundreds of young people will receive free tickets to see James and the Giant Peach.

Every donation makes a difference, however as a guide, a gift of £600 will enable 2 school classes or a community group of 60, with supporting adults, to see this year's Christmas show. Donations are credited on the Northern Stage website and each supporter receives a personal thank you from the children they have sponsored.

Thank you to all of our 2016 Christmas Access supporters who include:

Deloitte LLP
Edwards Commercial Cleaning Services
Mincoffs Solicitors
Muckle LLP
Northern Elevator Ltd
Shaun and Elvina Fooy
Tait Walker Chartered Accountants
Ward Hadaway Law Firm

"I cannot express my gratitude for allowing us the tickets to come and see the show... only one of the students in our group had been to the theatre before, so you will understand how excited we all were by the whole experience." Learning Mentor, Burnside Business & Enterprise College

"It was a wonderful opportunity for our children; real theatre is not something which our children have the opportunity to access and we are very appreciative of your support. The children were very excited by the experience and I am sure it is one which they will remember for many years to come." Deputy Head, Atkinson Road Primary School
